A collaborative 18+ fandom event celebrating Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang.Authors will write at least 10k focused on the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang and will be anonymously matched with artists to create a collaborative work.

General RulesThis is an 18+ event.Authors will write one fic at least 10k long focusing on the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang within the timeframe of the bang. They will be anonymously paired with artists to create a collaborative work to be posted on ao3 on their designated posting date.A valid email and/or discord ID are required.AI generation will be not be accept in any form.Author RulesAuthors will write at least 10k focusing on the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang. It is required that a beta be used for this event. However, it does not need to be a beta specifically signed up for this event. Feel free to use your regular beta.- Minimum fic word count is 10,000 words.- Using an unfinished WIP is okay if the WIP has not been published anywhere.- The main focus of the story should be the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang. Other pairings can be featured, but the main focus of the story needs to revolve around Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang’s relationship.--- Romantic, sexual, and queer-platonic are all accepted.--- Poly relationships are okay in background pairings, but not for the relationship between Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang.- Alternative Universe, canon divergence, and post-canon are allowed, but crossovers are not.- RPF is not allowed for this event as it would not be about Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang.- Series are not allowed for this event unless it is the first part of a series and can stand on its own.- If you are unsure about whether your fic meets that criteria, please contact the mods.- Authors can sign up with one (1) fic only to make sure everyone receives art and no one is stretched too thin.- Authors should not discuss their fic in public fandom spaces such as tumblr, twitter, discord servers etc. before they are matched with an artist. This includes posting snippets. Matching will be anonymous and this will help keep it so. The discord server will have a space for authors to talk freely about their projects.- After matching is done, we encourage authors to post about the story in public spaces, but please do not reveal who you are working with. Tag our twitter/tumblr accounts or use #scminibang23 if you would like our official event account to give you a boost.- Authors who miss a check-in without notice or filling out the drop-out form before matching will be considered dropped. After matching, authors need to contact mods, if they have to drop.- All fic must be beta-ed, and all betas must be credited. You may work with a beta you already know or connect with one through the event.- Guidelines on how to find a beta suited for your needs will be sent via welcome email and posted on the Discord server.- In the spirit of a minibang, all fic must be complete when posted to the collection, including chaptered fic. We will not accept incomplete fic.Artist RulesArtist will create at least one new work based on their matched author's story.All art forms are welcome, whether digital or traditional, 2-D or 3-D. Photo-based art must be more than a filter application, text overlay, or a collage to be accepted. Photos involved must be significantly altered in order to create a unique image.Art should be at least 500px wide (height is up to the artist) for 2-dimensional art and photos of 3-dimensional crafts, or 30 seconds for a video/audio. There is no maximum size, but please be mindful of final file sizes with regards to uploading and downloading. File format is up to you.Fanmixes are also allowed and must include a front and back cover and link to the playlist. They should have a minimum of 8 tracks with a maximum of 20.Alt text should be provided.AI generated art will not be accepted.Beta GuidelinesOnly take on as much as you can handle but at least one fic.Make sure you communicate with your author to ensure that you are providing what they're looking for.You are making the author's fic the best that it can be, not rewriting it how you would have done it.Minimum editing requirement is SPaG.

Who can sign up?Anyone who loves sangcheng over the age of 18 may sign up as an artist, author, or beta. For the purposes of this event, you must be born before April 2, 2005.I've never written a fic or created fan art before. Can I still sign up?All levels of experience are welcome!How do I sign up?Sign-ups will open on April 2nd for all roles: author, artist, and beta.10k words seems like too much for a mini bang? Can I write less?No. 10k words is the minimum requirement for this mini bang. If you're having difficulty, please contact a mod.Do I need to join the discord server?It is not required that you join the server. However, you must have a valid email address for us to contact you.Can I write about 'ships other than sangcheng?Nie Huaisang and Jiang Cheng need to be the focal point of the story. There may be other background relationships including friendships and familial relationships, but the focus must be on these two.Can I publish my chapters over many days?No. Everything needs to be posted all at once on the posting date.What if I need to drop out?Please let the mods and your partner know as soon as possible. There is no penalty for dropping. Life happens.What if no artist wants to pick my story?We will try to match everyone. Artists will be asked if they would like to work with more than one person. However, drop outs do happen, and we will try to match everyone with a pinch hitter if necessary.What if I don't want to work with a particular person?There will be an opportunity on the sign up form to say.
